2025-2026 3K and 4K Preschool
Firefly’s Preschool Program is rich in open-ended play where children have ample opportunities to connect with one another, be curious, explore, and have meaningful interactions with mindfully presented materials. During our daily circle time, children engage in interactive music activities that include singing, movement, rhythm and pitch exploration, instrument playing, and cooperative games, with a longer music lesson provided for each class one day a week. In addition to daily time spent outside in our beautiful play yard, our Nature Teacher leads students in nature lessons and mindfully presents sensory-rich opportunities for students to engage with the natural world. We value process art and project-based learning that introduces students to STEAM concepts and incorporates pre-literacy, language skills, and core early childhood mathematics concepts. We follow the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards Framework to inform our developmental expectations and for us to reflect on each child’s learning, guide our curriculum and communicate growth to caregivers.

NEW! Extended Care
After school care is available for three and four year-olds until 3pm, 5-days per week. Children enrolled in Extended Care will participate in the Lunch Buddies Program, mindfulness and relaxation activities, rest time, and additional outdoor playtime.

Little Fireflies Winter & Spring 2025

Little Fireflies is a play and exploration-based program for our littlest learners. This class incorporates free play, process art, music, dance, and literature to offer children a comfortable and engaging environment for their earliest preschool experience. Our teachers know separating from grown-ups can be difficult at this age, so they intentionally build safe and trusting relationships with each child and family. Children who are 2 years of age or who turn(ed) three between September 1st, 2024, and January 6th, 2025, are the best fit for this program. Being fully potty trained is not required.
Little Fireflies meets on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9-11 am

Lunch Buddies
Registration Available During August Parent Orientation
The Firefly Lunch Buddies Program is a wonderful way to promote positive peer interactions and develop social-emotional skills while sharing a meal and enjoying extended playtime. Lunch Buddies is offered 5 days a week from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Families are responsible for providing their children with a healthy lunch.
Once enrolled, families are charged whether their child attends that day or not. Families can stop the Lunch Buddies program at any time as long as they notify the Director before the 1st of the following month.

We believe that children learn best through constructive play, and we foster learning by providing a richly interesting and stimulating environment where your child can discover, explore, and create according to their interests. Through this constructive play, children are able to establish positive self-esteem, and a sense of accomplishment and belonging within themselves. We allow plenty of time for your child to interact with their environment and encourage them to form friendships along with having fun along the way!
